I thought the first one was entertaining, but only because I was expecting to see Cutthroat Island all over again. The second one was shite which is what I expect of the third. I'd say there is a much better chance of seeing a "Spider-Man" sequel before a "Pirates". Unfortunately, Disney did mention yesterday they are considering doing a "Pirates" spin-off of one of the characters. This would be a huge waste of money unless it's Capt. Jack Sparrow (Depp). No one cares about any of the other characters, and everyone agrees if wasn't for Depp's performance in the first one they never would have made sequels.

PLEASE - no more pirate films. The success of the Pirates Trilogy is an indictment of the stupidity of the movie going public. The first one was horrible - horrible acting (yes - including Depp), horrible script, horrible directing. And the second, which I refused to see, was by all accounts worse. The studio execs who greenlighted the third should be brought to The Hague and tried for crimes against humanity. If they greenlight a fourth - well, I don't want to say what should be done to such fools - but it wouldn't be pretty.
